Frequently Asked Questions for the 2020-2021 Religious Formation year
Earlier this week, we kicked off the start of the 2020-2021 Religious Formation year by sending class placements for grades 2, 7, and 8, as well as logins and passwords for the Sadlier Christ In Us online program for students registered in grades 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Having done so, we wanted to take this opportunity to address a few of the frequently asked questions we have received about Religious Formation this year. As always, if your specific question is not addressed below, please do not hesitate to contact us.

There are no classes or Zoom meetings for grades 1, 3, 4, 5 or 6. Students should now be able to login to their portal on the Sadlier Christ In Us website to access the four assignments that have been loaded for September. Students may complete the assignments at their own pace, but it is recommended that they do one a week.
Please note that there is not a separate home school option for grades 1, 3, 4, 5, or 6. All registered students in these grades will be enrolled in the Sadlier online program

Yes. Catechists will be monitoring the portals for grades 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Your child's Catechist(s) will be sending a welcome message through the Sadlier Portal (they may also send a separate parent e-mail). You will be able to view messages from the Catechists when your child logs in. Catechists will be reviewing your child's assignments through the portal and also communicating with students at least once a month.
There are no classes for Pre-K and Kindergarten this year. Students who have registered or would like to register in Pre-K or Kindergarten may pick up a book to use as a home school resource. There will not be any online work or Catechists for these classes.
Yes. Masks and social distancing will be required to attend in-person classes for grades 2, 7, and 8.
Due to the circumstances with Covid-19 this year, we are offering home school for Sacramental Prep. If you are interested in this option, you should indicate it on the registration form in the "special learning styles" area. If you have already registered and would like to choose home school for your child, please contact [email protected].
Students will receive the same books that will be used in the classrooms and will be provided a syllabus to follow. We use the Blessed program by Dynamic Catholic for 2nd grade, and the Altaration and Chosen programs for grades 7 and 8. There are videos that go along with the lessons for all of these program, and home school students will be provided access to those videos. There will not be any work to complete online or Catechist check-ins, but we will ask students to turn in their completed books. If we have any special practices or meetings, home school students will be invited to attend.
