Holy Family is NOT Recycling Correctly – We Need Your Help

Holy Family is having a major issue with items that are being recycled incorrectly. Holy Family is asking parishioner to make the resolution to recycle responsibly!

Things to Know

  • You cannot recycle the same items at Holy Family that you would normally recycle at home.
  • Contaminated recycling bins (bins that hold any items that cannot be recycled; see below) go to the trash and end up in the landfill.
  • If materials contaminate the recycling bin, Holy Family may be charged a monthly fee.

Everything That Can Be Recycled

  • CLEAN plastic bottles (anything plastic with a neck)
  • CLEAN aluminum cans (CANS ONLY)
  • CLEAN cardboard
  • CLEAN paper (no food contamination)

Items That CANNOT Be Recycled

  • Styrofoam
  • Glass
  • Plastic bags of any kind
  • Plastic food trays
  • Anything that is not clean (not even crumbs)
  • Half empty water bottle, soda can, etc.
  • Paper plates that have had food on them
  • Aluminum foil
  • Food of any kind
