Mercy Bound Prison Ministry

What is the mission of Mercy Bound Prison Ministry?

The Mercy Bound Prison Ministry recognizes the inherent dignity in every person and brings hope, spiritual renewal, and help to incarcerated individuals. We seek to break down societal biases, providing a bridge for prisoners to reintegrate into a community that believes in their capacity for change. Our work seeks to change the hearts and minds of those in the free world to include the humane treatment of incarcerated individuals, rehabilitation, and elimination of the death penalty.

Our members foster understanding, model compassion, develop friendships, and provide support to our incarcerated parishioners.

What are the different ways to serve the Mercy Bound Prison Ministry?

Our Mercy Bound Prision Ministry at Holy Family supports about 40 prisoners from four local prisons. Communication from our parish provides them with hope, fostering their spiritual growth and reminds them that they are part of our Catholic family.

Throughout the year, there are many ways to get involved in our ministry.    Here are a few campaigns that are held throughout the year:

November/December:
- Christmas Card drive
- Sock drive for men
- Fundraiser for lotion for women
- Meals

March/April
- Lenten and Easter Card drive - Click Here to learn how to get involved!
