Nolensville Catholic Campus Update

As many of you are aware, exciting projects are moving forward at the Nolensville Catholic Campus!

The first two building projects to be completed in Nolensville are St. Michael Academy, Pre-K through eighth grade regional school, and Mother Teresa Catholic Church, a new parish in the diocese. Together these are referred to as the Nolensville Catholic Campus. Construction is well underway on the school which is scheduled to open in August of 2024, thanks to the recently completed Legacy of Faith, Hope and Love campaign, the parish share of Holy Family’s proceeds, and the direct contributions from our parish community and other generous benefactors. Mother Teresa plans to begin holding Mass in the school by the end of 2023. Mother Teresa parish leadership is working diligently to finalize long-term strategic building plans and designs for their future church. Now, fundraising efforts must continue in order to complete these projects and plan for the future.

The creation of the Nolensville Catholic Campus is an extraordinary event in our history. All members of our parish, along with members of Church of the Nativity, St. Luke, St. Philip, and Mother Teresa will be invited to participate in a pre-campaign assessment. The purpose of the assessment is to help Nolensville school and parish leaders develop fundraising and communication strategies, identify volunteers, and gauge support for a capital campaign to fund these projects. A major component of this assessment is to estimate the enrollment in the various grade levels at St. Michael Academy and a tuition structure.

Nolensville Catholic Campus leaders have hired the Steier Group, a Catholic development firm, to conduct the assessment study. Information and invitations will be mailed over the next several weeks. More details about the assessment, the projects, and a capital campaign will be shared in the coming weeks. Thank you in advance for your time and input!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why are we being asked to participate in the assessment study?
A: An assessment study is a valuable tool for planning and customizing a capital campaign. You are being asked to participate because we value your thoughts and opinions, and we want to hear from as many people as possible. While we know many of you have generously given to the Nolensville project during the Legacy campaign, many of you are either new to Holy Family or may want to consider a gift at this time.  The more information we have helps us make better decisions down the road. Our study has several aims, including:

  • Allowing the community to share their opinions about the plans for the church and school
  • Sharing ideas and strategies for the upcoming capital campaign
  • Identifying potential campaign volunteers
  • Gauging support for the capital campaign
  • Providing objective feedback to the leaders of the school and parishes

Q: What parishes are involved in the assessment study?
A: The families, leadership, and communities of St. Luke Parish, St. Philip Parish, Church of the Nativity, Holy Family Parish, and Mother Teresa Catholic Church are being asked to participate in the study.

Q: When will the new capital campaign begin?
A: Preparations for the campaign will take several months as we finalize plans, train volunteers, and develop campaign materials. The public fundraising portion is slated to begin in late fall 2023.
