Priesthood Sunday

This weekend, we celebrate Priesthood Sunday — a special time to reflect on the role and vocation of the priesthood in the Church. We are so grateful for the vocation of Fr. Joe and Fr. Mark and for all the priests who have served Holy Family.
It is also a time to support the 20 men discerning a call to the priesthood and honor those who have served the Diocese of Nashville over the years. Please prayerfully consider how you and your family can support the next generation of priests in our diocese.

Financial Support

The Diocese of Nashville pays $1.5 million a year for seminarian formation. This money is raised throughout the year in four ways: the Bishop's Annual Appeal, current endowments, the annual seminarian dinner fundraiser, and the Priesthood Sunday second collection.
Make a one-time gift: The second collection donations during Priesthood Sunday will go toward the Seminarian Education Fund at the Diocese. Mail or deliver the envelope for Priesthood Sunday to the Holy Family parish office or click the button below to donate online.
Make a Legacy gift: The current funding model for seminarians is not sustainable and therefore is inadequate to meet future needs. By significantly increasing the current endowment, the diocese will gain a permanent and sustainable source of income, allowing us to educate our seminarians, increase vocations, and support priests in ministry.
One of the pillars of A Legacy of Faith, Hope and Love Campaign is the seminarian endowment. The Diocese’s goal for the seminarian endowment ($7.5 million) will support five additional seminarians per year. To donate to A Legacy of Faith, Hope and Love Campaign, please contact [email protected].

Prayerful Support

Praying for vocations is the most powerful way to support vocations. At Holy Family, parishioners are invited to sign up to take home the Vocation Cup for one week to remember to pray daily for the priesthood and religious life. Click here for more information on the Vocation Cup ministry and to sign up.
