Priesthood Sunday

This weekend (November 5 – 6), we celebrate Priesthood Sunday — a special time to reflect on the role and vocation of the priesthood in the Church. We are so grateful for the vocation of Fr. Joe and Fr. Mark and for all the priests who have served Holy Family.

It is also a time to support the 21 men discerning a call to the priesthood and honor those who have served the Diocese of Nashville over the years. Please prayerfully consider how you and your family can support the next generation of priests in our Diocese.

Prayerful Support

Praying for vocations is the most powerful way to support vocations. At Holy Family, we offer the following opportunities to pray for our priests and seminarians:

Vocation Cup
Take home the Vocation Cup for one week to remember to pray daily for the priesthood and religious life.

Adoration Prayer Card
Offer one hour of Eucharistic Adoration for a seminarian, and send them a card to let them know of your prayers! Prayer cards can be found on the sign-in table for Adoration on Wednesdays.

Financial Support

The Diocese of Nashville pays $1.5 million a year for seminarian formation. The second collection donations during Priesthood Sunday will go toward the Seminarian Education Fund at the Diocese. Mail or deliver the envelope for Priesthood Sunday to Holy Family or visit the button below to donate to this collection.
