Seniors On the Go

Join Us

Welcome to the Senior On-The- Go Club!   This club holds potluck dinners, social gatherings for lunch and dinner, card games, bible study and more.

There is an annual membership fee of $20 that helps cover the costs of our potluck dinners that are held bi-monthly throughout the year. Our potlucks are held in the Parish Hall on Sunday afternoons at 12:30 pm.  Each attendee is asked to bring a side dish, appetizer, or dessert to share for the first five events, where the main entree will be provided by the club.  At the December potluck, each attendee is asked to bring an appetizer.  The club will provide desserts.

Here are the dates for our upcoming potluck dinners that are held on Sundays at noon. We kindly ask that you RSVP to the potluck dinners using the links below so that we ensure enough seating.

Please volunteer!  Hosts and hostesses are needed for each Potluck.  They purchase the main course of their choice, soft drinks and water.  Up to $225.00 is provided by the club to fund these purchases from your dues dollars.  Hosts/Hostesses help with setup and cleanup.  To volunteer, please email:  [email protected].   Please see below for more information:

Guidelines for Seniors on the Go Potluck HOSTS (Revised January 2025)

  • Hosts assist in the setup for each potluck. The Parish Hall has been reserved, and tables and chairs have been ordered. Set up is at 11:00 am on the day of the potluck.
  • The club has a supply of centerpieces. Contact the Centerpiece coordinator to choose something appropriate for your date, ie, Valentine's Day heart decorations.
  • At setup, the Seniors' President will give the hosts access to the storage cabinet for table runners, placemats, napkins, flatware, plates, and cups. These are provided by the club along with wine. If the hosts want any other items, those items are the hosts' personal expense. Additionally, the storage cabinet contains serving utensils that belong to the club.
Immediately after a potluck, they must be washed and returned to the cabinet. If the Hosts want to use the Holy Family linen Tablecloths, they are responsible for having them laundered and returned to Holy Family the day after the Pot Luck.
  • Hosts should check the kitchen for items they might need in their role as Hosts. Kitchen towels, hot pads, liquid soap, paper towels, etc., may need to be supplied by the Hosts. Any church property used must be washed and replaced after use.
  • $225.00 is the host's budget for each potluck. An entree chosen by the hosts can be purchased, catered, or prepared by the host team. 24 Bottled waters and four 2-liter bottles of assorted soft drinks are purchased by the hosts.  The $225.00 is the maximum payment; any overage is the responsibility of the hosts.  Reimbursement under $225.00 is limited to the amount spent with receipts provided to the Seniors President.  A check will be issued from Holy Family to reimburse the host.
