Fr. Joseph McMahon became ordained in 1984 and has since carried out a number of assignments within Tennessee, having previously served as pastor for St. Joseph in Madison and Christ the King in Nashville. Fr. Joe became Holy Family’s Pastor in September 2013. He works alongside Fr. Mark to provide Holy Family with spiritual leadership and guides the parish through his homilies and in ministry. He serves this parish with his heart and soul.

Deacon Bill is a native Nashvillian having attended St. Vincent de Paul and Father Ryan High School. He retired from the Army Corps of Engineers as Chief of the legal office after serving 33 years. He became a deacon in 2006 and received his Master’s degree in from St. Meinrad in 2012. He wife Etheleen is a Baptist minister and also has a Master’s degree in Christian Education. They have 4 children and 3 grandchildren.
While at St. Vincent, Deacon Bill had a special interest in ministry to the elderly and sick and Bible study and hopes to make a contribution in those areas at Holy Family. Â Deacon Bill also started the Katharine Drexel Scholarship Endowment at Father Ryan to continue the legacy of St. Katharine Drexel in assisting Black students in acquiring a catholic education. He is also on the Strategic Planning Committee at Father Ryan and hopes to assist Father Ryan in preparing for the challenges of the 21st century.

Greg Anton receives and responds to work orders and requests from HFCC staff and parishioners to assign, coordinate, schedule, and self-perform maintenance tasks. He is the manager and negotiates contracts with outside vendors as well as supervising staff and work performed from outside vendors. Greg has been employed by Holy Family since 2021.

Susan joins us from Triple Crown Bakery in Franklin.  She and her husband James and two children, Nicholas and Bridget, live close to and attend St. Matthew Church.  They settled in Nashville in 2010 after living in Chicago, Detroit, and Louisville.  Susan received her B.S. from the University of Dayton and spent her early career in sales and account management. In her spare time, she enjoys travel, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Betty Lou’s responsibilities are to support Fr. Joe and Fr. John in their roles; train, schedule, and coordinate Eucharistic Ministers; and coordinate Priest Reconciliation Dinners and Reconciliation services. She is the point person for funerals including planning, readings, and coordination with family and funeral home as well as the point person for hospital, home-bound, and the nursing home ministry. Betty Lou is the liaison for the sacristan and the sacristy linen team. She provides back up for front desk; assists in counting and processing weekly collection; coordinates daily Mass in Margaret McPherson’s absence; provides finance and accounting assistance as needed, primarily with budgets and monthly reporting; and problem solves everyday crises as they arise. Betty Lou Burnett has been employed by Holy Family since January 2015.

Susan, along with her husband, Todd, and their sons, Addison, Andrew and Noah, have been parishioners at Holy Family since 2004. Susan has worked in the tech eco-system for 10 years and worked as a program manager in the non-profit space for over 15 years. She enjoys making art – from watercolor to woodwork – in her spare time. Â
Mike Costik
Mike Costik is the Sacristan. He ensures that the mass is celebrated properly. In the Sanctuary the altar colors and linens need to be maintained and properly placed depending on the season of the year. The Sacristy is the place for preparing, cleaning, and fixing anything that needs attention, including supplies for mass such as candles, purificators, etc. Mike has been a member of Holy Family since 2001 and served on the Parish Council during the phase three construction of Holy Family.
Carol Guthard

Carol Guthard is the receptionist, welcoming visitors and directing incoming calls. In this role she handles various needs and requests of our parishioners including Mass Card requests, updating parishioner data, and special requests of letters for Godparents and Confirmation sponsors. She also provides ongoing support to the Office Manager and our Pastoral Care team. Carol also coordinates Baptisms. Carol has been a member of Holy Family since 2017.
Kitty Nichols

Kitty graduated from Tennessee Tech in December 2020 with a B.S. in Communication with a focus in Journalism and a minor in English Literature. She worked as a technical and marketing writer for three years before joining us at Holy Family. Kitty is a Nashville native, coffee and tea enthusiast, and houseplant collector. When she isn’t working, she’s watching a Predators game with her husband, Chris, or hanging out with her cat, Biscuit.

Bill Plantz is the Holy Family Facilities Director. He performs a variety of tasks including facility scheduling, event planning, project and facilities management, and administrative functions. Bill began working at Holy Family in the fall of 2018.

Jane Ridlen, Finance Director, is a steward of the financial resources of the parish as well as human resource management. She assures compliance with local, state, and federal laws/regulations along with diocesan rules, regulations, and policies. Jane has been a member of Holy Family since 2006.

Colleen Halfmann is providing counseling at Holy Family and has her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Lipscomb University. She offers individual, couple, and family therapy to members of Holy Family for a reduced fee. It is common to encounter difficulty as you go through life. Counseling at Holy Family works to bring hope and healing in the midst of struggle by combining therapeutic tools and insight with Catholic principles and practices.

Aidan Culloton has a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and will be offering individual, couple, and family therapy to parishioners and non-parishioners of Holy Family for a reduced fee. Kaitlin Stice is the Music Ministry Assistant. She serves the music ministry by helping with our rehearsals, music library management, special events, and equipment setup. Kaitlin has served as a cantor at Holy Family Catholic Church since 2019 and has been the Music Ministry Assistant since 2021.

Jeff Thomas is the Director of Music Ministry. This is a ministry that serves all of the various liturgical services at Holy Family Catholic Church. The Music Ministry’s purpose is to lead the assembly in song for the Eucharistic Celebration. This is done using a wide range of composition and ensembles that incorporate both traditional and contemporary music. The mission of the Music Ministry is to faithfully serve the Mass and those who participate in it. Jeff has served Holy Family Catholic Church since 1996.

Amy Eubanks is the Director of Adult Faith Formation. She is responsible for facilitating parish-level opportunities for adults to encounter Christ and grow in lifelong relationship with Him. Her goal is to spread the Gospel through social, spiritual, and service initiatives for parishioners in all stages of the adult life cycle. She provides leadership in helping the parish shape its goals and strategies for adult faith formation and coordinates collaboration between parish groups. Amy first joined Holy Family in 1994.

Janis Lovecchio is the Director of RCIA. As such, she serves the parish in its ministry of welcoming and forming new members of the Christian community. She fosters the full implementation of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) in the parish as it develops the catechesis for adults and for children who have reached catechetical age, as well as other formation processes for those seeking reception into full communion or the completion of initiation. Janis has been a member of Holy Family since 1994.

Margaret McPherson is on the Adult Faith Formation Team. Margaret has a Master’s Degree in Religious Education which qualifies her to be the instructor/facilitator of the Catholic Biblical School Program, a 4 year study of the Bible. She also leads 2 scripture classes one of which meets on Thursday morning and the other on Thursday night. Margaret has been a member of the parish since June 1973.

Catherine Birdwell is the Director of Religious Formation. As a part of this she helps oversee Religious Formation, the nursery, Children’s Liturgy of the Word, Ignite, Special Sundays, Mother’s of Preschoolers, Play and Pray, Vacation Bible School, and Family Religious Formation. Catherine has been a member of Holy Family since 1996.

Evan Bohn is the Director of Youth Ministry. With evangelization as his primary mission, he meets teens where they are at, reaching out in the local community as well as accompanying teens on their journey of faith. Evan has been a member of Holy Family since 2019.

Susan Oubre is the Director of the Holy Family Learning Center and is responsible for all aspects of the daily operations including creating policies, managing staff, developing curriculum, and ensuring that all state licensing standards and regulations are met to provide an educational, nurturing, and safe environment for children, parents, and staff. Susan is the founding Director of HFLC. She and her family have been members of Holy Family since 1993.

Jennifer Reamer is the Religious Formation Administrator for preschool through eighth grade. She helps carry out Religious Formation registration, the placing of students and catechists in classes, Sacramental Record keeping, and assistance with First Reconciliation, First Communion, Confirmation Retreats, and Sacraments.

Ashley Saliba is the IGNITE Support at Holy Family. Helping in recruitment for youth ministry, coordinating events, and mentoring middle schoolers, Ashley works with the Youth Ministry team to provide spirit-filled experiences and a home away from home for our youth. Ashley was born and raised in Brentwood, TN and has been a member of Holy Family since its inception in 1989.

Deanna Ziesig serves as Youth Ministry Support. She assists the Director of Youth Ministry by sending weekly emails, creating and managing event and retreat registrations, tracking youth ministry finances, and maintaining the youth ministry database and website calendar. Deanna has been a member of Holy Family since 1996.
