Sacrament of Holy Matrimony
“But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother [and be joined to his wife], and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, no human being must separate.” – Mark 10:6-9
Choosing to Marry: At Holy Family Catholic Church, we believe marriage is more than a moment—it is a sacred covenant, a lifelong journey of love, faith, and commitment. Rooted in God’s design, the union between a man and a woman reflects His love and is ordered toward the good of each other and the gift of family life. In the Church, this covenant is elevated to a sacrament—an outward sign of God’s grace at work in your lives.
Preparing for Marriage: We are honored to walk with you as you begin this beautiful vocation. To allow time for thoughtful preparation, we ask that you connect with one of our priests or deacons at least six months prior to your desired wedding date.
Marriage preparation at Holy Family is designed to support and strengthen your relationship. Through prayer, conversation, and reflection, you will explore the essential elements of married life—communication, faith, commitment, and the shared call to holiness.
Your wedding day is not only a joyful celebration for you and your families, but also a sacred moment for our parish community. As a Church, we rejoice in the witness of your love and the beginning of your life together in Christ.
Planning Your Wedding at Holy Family: To help guide you through both the spiritual preparation and the practical details of your wedding day, we have provided clear and thoughtful guidelines. These will help you better understand the marriage preparation process and assist you in planning a celebration that reflects the beauty, reverence, and joy of the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony.
